Timber Frame Holiday Cabin in Rencēni

We received an inquiry from a client in Rencēni for the installation of screw pile foundations for an 8 × 4 m timber frame holiday cabin. The client already had a screw pile layout plan prepared by the cabin manufacturer, so after reviewing the project, we agreed to use 1500 mm long screw piles, providing the necessary stability with a solid safety margin.

What mattered most to the client was speed and precision. Since the site was located right on the riverbank, we encountered a few larger stones in the ground during installation. We solved this by slightly adjusting the position of specific screw piles along the planned line. The rest of the installation went smoothly without any issues.

All screw piles were installed and levelled, and we completed the foundation work that same afternoon.

After the work was finished, we discussed with the client how the fully assembled cabin could be delivered to the exact spot on the riverbank. At the time, we agreed that it might be quite a challenge.

As the final result shows, everything worked out successfully. The cabin was delivered and installed directly onto the prepared screw pile foundations.

The foundations are ready, the cabin is in place, and now it’s time to relax!
