Boardwalk in Tīnūži

Here in Tīnūži, the owner decided that the newly created pond needed a boardwalk terrace for more comfortable swimming and to provide a place to set up a hot tub. The photos show the process of installing the foundations and the finished boardwalk. The hot tub was still on its way.

The main challenge was the collapsing banks with loose sand and unstable ground. For this reason, modular screw piles were used: a 1500 mm base pile + a 1500 mm extension + a covering cap/flange, giving a total length of 3000 mm. In total, 11 such piles were installed – 8 in the water and 3 already on the shore. The biggest challenge was physically reaching the furthest points without falling into the water! Especially since we had an electric handheld gearbox…

In the end, the foundations are solid and secure!
